Covid Scotland: Edinburgh beauty salon closes for ‘deep clean’ after client tests positive

A busy beauty salon in Leith which specialises in eyebrows has decided to temporarily close after a customer tested positive for Covid-19.

Brows & Co have decided to shut their doors as a precaution for the rest of the week to allow staff to be thoroughly tested.

Two members of staff at the salon have been told by NHS Test and Protect to self-isolate after coming into close contact with the client.

The eyebrow specialists say ‘safety is their top priority' and they plan to deep clean the salon while it is closed.

Updating customers on Instagram, the salon said: “Dear clients, we have just been informed that one of our clients has tested positive for Covid-19.

“After seeking guidance from NHS Inform Contact tracing, both myself and Jan have to self-isolate.

“Our initial results have come back negative but we have decided to close for the rest of the week till we do further tests and get the all-clear, if anything changes we will keep you informed.

“All appointments that have been booked from 14th July - 18th July, unfortunately, will need to be cancelled to enable us to sanitize everything in the salon as the safety of our clients and staff is our top priority.”
