Boots and easyJet have joined forces to bring ease to eager jet setters who need to take Covid-19 tests before departure.
Each holiday hotspot have their own rules and requirements for Brits visiting and when required to show a negative PCR test, NHS tests are not accepted.
This new collaboration will allow customers and hopeful holiday makers to find information, book or order the required travel testing services required for their travels on the Boots Covid-19 testing hub. via easyJet.com while organising their holiday.
Customers can also book the in-store pre-departure PCR test (£85), available at more than 200 Boots stores and can get the results the next day, Hull reports.
If they don't want to go into town, they can buy an at-home self-swab PCR Kit (£65), available in 500 stores or online via Boots.com to be delivered to their home, offering results from 24-48 hours from receipt of the sample at the lab.
Some countries, including Spain are accepting antigen tests which are quicker and cheaper. Boots are also making these available in 30 stores and customers can book an in-store test for £59.
Boots offers a Day 2 and 8 Post-Travel PCR test service for international arrivals into the UK and is also accredited as a test provider for the government’s Test to Release scheme.
With easyJet flying from 18 airports in the UK, and with 206 Boots stores offering testing services nationwide, passengers will be able to book a trip knowing they will have convenient access before and after a holiday.
Sophie Dekkers, chief commercial officer for easyJet, said: “At easyJet we’re focussed on ensuring travel is easy and accessible for all and that is especially important this summer. We’re delighted to be partnering with Boots to provide customers with more direct access to trusted testing services, making it easier to travel with us this summer.”
Asif Aziz, director of healthcare services at Boots UK, added: “This new partnership between Boots and easyJet is designed to make lives easier for people who are travelling abroad this summer.
"We plan to work closely with easyJet in the coming weeks and months to help their passengers navigate the requirements around Covid-19 testing for passengers and provide competitively-priced solutions.”
The green list is expected to be extended on July 15 when the UK Government reviews the latest international travel rules.
