Covid Scotland: 903 new cases and four more deaths recorded

Four more people have sadly died in Scotland on account of coronavirus, the Scottish Government have confirmed.

Meanwhile, it's been advised there's been a further 903 positive Covid-19 cases recorded since yesterday.

The number of deaths recorded over the weekend tends to be lower than on weekdays due to registration offices being closed.

Furthermore, the Scottish Government advised 1,442 people are currently in hospital with Covid-19 and 104 people are in intensive care.

It's also been advised 1,223,774 people in Scotland have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

The Scottish Government this afternoon (Sunday) confirmed:

  • 903 new cases of Covid-19 reported
  • 13,808 new tests for Covid-19 that reported results – 7.3% of these were positive
  • 4 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive (noting that Register Offices are now generally closed at weekends).
  • 104 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed Covid-19
  • 1,442 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed Covid-19
  • 1,223,774 people have received the first dose of the covid vaccination and 14,281 have received their second dose
