Covid Scotland: 25 Glasgow neighbourhoods suppressing coronavirus revealed in Public Health data

Twenty five Glasgow neighbourhoods have suppressed coronavirus case rates, the latest Public Health Scotland Data shows.

Greater Glasgow as a whole has recorded 826 new cases in the week between February 12 and 18 – a positivity rate of 130.5 per 100,000, compared with 144.5 per 100,000 the previous week.

Neighbourhoods in which the virus is described as "suppressed" have three cases or fewer. Where a local authority has fewer than five cases over seven days, it is not recorded to protect patient confidentiality.

The neighbourhoods with three cases or less per 100,000 population as of February 11 are:

Shettleston South

Sighthill

Shawlands West

Shawlands East

North Kelvin

Mount Vernon North and Sandyhills

Mount Florida

Milton West

Kingston West and Dumbreck

Kings Park South

Kelvindale

Ibrox East and Cessnock

Gallowgate North and Bellgrove

Dowanhill

City Centre West

Carntyne

Carmyle and Mount Vernon South

Carmunnock North

Carmunnock South

Calton and Gallowgate
