Covid Scotland: 24 neighbourhoods suppressing coronavirus in Glasgow

Two neighbourhoods in Glasgow City have a "high case rate" of coronavirus as of February 11, the latest Public Health Scotland Data shows.

Drumchapel South and Crookston South all have a high case rate with more than 400 new infections per 100,000 of population.

Drumchapel South recorded 12 new cases and Crookston South recorded 14 between February 5 and 11.

Greater Glasgow as a whole has recorded 915 new cases in the week between February 5 and 11 – a positivity rate of 144.5 per 100,000 .

There are 24 neighbourhoods in which the virus is described as "suppressed" in the data - meaning those areas have three cases or less. Where a local authority has less than five cases over seven days, it is not recorded to protect patient confidentiality.

The neighbourhoods with three cases or less per 100,000 population as of February 11 are:

  • Baillieston West

  • Partick
  • Partickhill and Hyndland
  • Kelvingrove and University
  • North Kelvin
  • Woodlands
