New data released today shows the Covid red zones in Ayrshire.
Public Health Scotland's statistics shows the highest case rates per 100,000 population for the past seven days.
Overall, case rates and test positivity in each region appear to be decreasing.
Across Scotland today, 6,185 cases have been recorded. This includes lateral flow tests and PCRs.
Tragically, two more deaths have also been recorded overnight and 32 people are in ICU with Covid across the country. A total of 1,217 people were in hospital yesterday with the virus.
And 4,410,990 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination; 4,124,546 have received their second dose; and 3,290,965 have received a third dose or booster
Data below relates to the most recent available data between January 19 and January 25.
East Ayrshire
- The region's overall seven-day PCR rate is at 418.6 — down from 519.7 last week — with the test positivity rate at 15.1 per cent — a reduction from 17.3 per cent last week.
- Doon Valley South tops the charts with 1116.8 — down from 1212.5 last week; Auchinleck takes second with 743.0 — a dramatic reduction from 1045.7; and Dean and New Farm Loch North has the third-highest rate with 665.7.
- While not suppressed, Bonnyton and Town Centre has the lowest prevalence in the region with 160.4.
North Ayrshire
- The region's overall seven-day PCR rate is at 400.0 — down from 476.0 last week — with the test positivity rate at 15.1 per cent — down from 15.9 per cent.
- Kilwinning Pennyburn takes top spot with 784.7; Saltcoats North East is second with 719.4; and Saltcoats Central claims third with 706.1
While not suppressed, Beith West has the lowest prevalence in the region with 133.2.
South Ayrshire
- The region's overall seven-day PCR rate is at 430.7 — a slight rise from 428.0 last week — with the test positivity rate at 15.4 per cent — which is down 16.3 per cent.
- Girvan Ailsa has the highest rate of Covid with 700.4; Girvan Glendoune has 660.8; and Ayr South and Town Centre has 653.0
- While not suppressed, Barassie has the lowest prevalence in the region with 180.0.
