Covid cases have broadly fallen across the region, but the latest data shows that 62 areas across the North East saw an increase in people testing positive over the first week in November.
Government data highlights that, in the week to November 10, areas from Barnard Castle to Blaydon saw more coronavirus cases than in the seven days before that.
Of the areas to see new cases increase, the hardest hit areas last week were Consett and Shildon in County Durham which had 53 and 54 new positives respectively, but case rates per 100,000 people remain substantially higher in New York in North Tyneside (783.3) and Bellingham, Otterburn & Redesdale (762.3).

Places with substantially lower rates include Durham City (108.9), Shieldfield & Heaton Park in Newcastle (118) and Hendon & Docks in Sunderland (123.1).
The region is split into 251 "medium super output areas" which are larger than a single council ward and tend to have populations of 8 to 10,000 people.
By local authority, the weekly case rates are falling.
County Durham 's case rate is down marginally to 365.2, Gateshead 's is now 392.7, Newcastle 's is 314.2, North Tyneside 's is 512.8, and Northumberland 's is 386.6.
South Tyneside 's is at 383.1 while Sunderland 's has fallen to 340.1.
This comes as leaked Government documents suggest Covid self-isolation rules and the test and trace programme could be scrapped by April next year.
