Covid outbreak linked to Scots sea tours sparks NHS probe with customers told to self-isolate

NHS Highland has launched a probe after a number of positive Covid-19 cases were linked to the Oban Sea Tours in Argyll and Bute.

Customers who used the two hour circular tours from North Pier on June 19, 20 and 21 are being told to self-isolate and book at PCR test.

A statement from the health board said: "NHS Highland's Health Protection Team has been notified of cases of COVID-19 linked to Oban Sea Tours.

“We would ask customers who took a tour with Oban Sea Tours on the following days and times to self-isolate for 10 days from the date of the tour and to book a PCR test whether you have symptoms or not.

“The trips of interest are as follows: 19th June 2021, 12:30: Two hour circular tour from North Pier

“20th June 2021, 12:30 and 15:00: Two hour circular tours from North Pier and 21st June 2021, 10:00: Two hour circular tour from North Pier.”

“To book a PCR test appointment, you can contact NHS Inform online or by calling 0800 028 2816.

“When booking you should select the option ‘I have been asked to book a test by my local council or health protection team’ which will allow you to book a test even if you don’t have symptoms.”
