St George's School for Girls in Edinburgh has been hit with a Covid-19 outbreak.
There have been several cases among pupils at the all-girls private school, located in the Murrayfield area.
A number of staff and youngsters have been forced to self-isolate in a bid to contain the outbreak, while parents and the "wider school community" are receiving regular updates.
St George's is a day and boarding school – the only "all-through" girls' school in Edinburgh which youngsters are able to attend from nursery right through to graduation at the age of 18.
A spokesperson confirmed that they are dealing with coronavirus cases, and measures have been put in place to prevent any further outbreaks.
They said: "We do have some positive cases of Covid-19 at present.
"All appropriate measures are in place and are being managed in close partnership with NHS Lothian and Health Protection Scotland.
"We are communicating regularly with parents and keeping the whole school community informed.
"As you would expect, and in common with most schools at the moment, we do have some pupils and staff self-isolating."
Edinburgh Live reported on Tuesday how, elsewhere in Edinburgh, a number of people were self-isolating after a positive Covid-19 case at Roseburn Primary School.
A joint statement to parents and carers, from the head teacher Mrs Borrowman and NHS Lothian, read: "We are aware of person in the school who has tested positive for Covid-19.
"We understand that this is a worrying time but would like to reassure you that we are working closely with NHS Lothian Health Protection Team and following all national guidance.
"A number of people are currently being contacted because they may have been in close and sustained contact with the case and will need to self-isolate.
"They will be given appropriate guidance and advice.
"An update via text and/or email will be sent to you as soon as the tracking and tracing process is complete."
