Two further coronavirus related deaths have been recorded in Northern Ireland on Friday.
The death toll from the Department of Health now stands at 2,918.
A further 1,806 positive cases of the virus have also been detected in the past 24 hours in NI.
This brings the total number of positive cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 337,034, according to the Department of Health.
Over the past seven days, the Department said 12,153 individuals tested positive for coronavirus in Northern Ireland.
According to official figures released on Friday, there are currently 317 Covid-19 confirmed patients in hospital.
Meanwhile, a number of leading business and hospitality organisations across Northern Ireland have appealed to the public to take personal responsibility, stay safe and work with them over the busy Christmas period.

The Belfast, Causeway, Londonderry and Newry Chambers of Commerce along with Hospitality Ulster, NI Retail Consortium and Retail NI have joined forces with Executive Ministers to remind customers to keep wearing their face coverings in all indoor settings.
They have also urged everyone to be respectful of staff working during the busiest period of the year.
The business leaders are encouraging all those eligible to access the Covid-19 vaccines, including the booster, in the run up to Christmas to protect themselves, other customers and staff working in thousands of businesses across NI over this festive period.
