Two further coronavirus-related deaths have been reported in Northern Ireland on Friday.
The death toll from the Department of Health now stands at 2,784.
The fatalities are said to have occurred during the current reporting period.
A further 1,087 positive Covid cases have also been recorded in NI today.
This brings the total number of positive cases to 289,773 since the start of the pandemic, according to the Department of Health.
Over the past seven days, the Department said 8,923 individuals have tested positive in Northern Ireland.
According to figures released on Friday, there are currently 397 Covid-19 confirmed patients in hospital and 34 in intensive care.

Meanwhile, around one in nine people in Northern Ireland have not yet been vaccinated against Covid-19, new statistics indicate.
The NISRA Coronavirus (COVID-19) Opinion Survey, which uses a ‘systematic random sample of 1,200 addresses’, asked people a range of questions regarding the virus and their experiences of it.
The survey was carried in the period July - September 2021. News that 11% have not yet been vaccinated comes against a backdrop of the Department of Health introducing a consultation on mandatory vaccinations for new healthcare workers.
The Agency found that one in nine (11%) of those interviewed ‘had not received a Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine at the time of interview’.
An outline of the findings adds: “While just over half of the people concerned (55%) indicated that they were likely to take the vaccine, the remainder (45%) said that they were unlikely to do so.
