A further 7,215 positive Covid cases have been recorded in Northern Ireland today.
This brings the total number of positive cases to 402,069 since the start of the pandemic, according to the Department of Health.
Over the past seven days, the Department said 35,107 individuals have tested positive in Northern Ireland.
One further coronavirus-related death has also been reported in Northern Ireland on Friday.
The death toll from the Department of Health now stands at 2,980.
The fatality is said to have occurred during the current reporting period.
According to figures released on Friday, there are currently 314 Covid-19 confirmed patients in hospital and 34 in intensive care.

From 8am on December 31, cases will now be able to end isolation after seven days instead of ten provided they have negative lateral flow results on day six and day seven, with tests taken 24 hours apart.
The Public Health Agency say the first test must be taken no earlier than day six of the self-isolation period.
If the lateral flow tests are positive individuals must continue to isolate for the full 10 days.
The Department of Health has agreed the new approach, which reflects latest evidence on how long cases shed the virus and can infect others and the ability of lateral flow tests to detect when people are infectious.
It will also support essential public services over the winter, while still limiting the spread of the virus.
