Covid NI: One death and 445 coronavirus cases reported

The Department of Health has recorded one further coronavirus-related death.

The death toll from the DoH stands at 2,157, according to figures released on Saturday.

The dashboard is not updated at the weekend, but the DoH said a further 445 positive cases of Covid-19 have been reported, bringing the total number of positive cases to 131,864 since the start of the pandemic.

The dashboard will not be updated again until Wednesday, July 14, due to the Bank Holiday. In a tweet with the weekend update, the DoH also stated that 2,115,735 vaccines have been administered in total.

Meanwhile, there are 11 walk-in mobile vaccination clinics now situated across Northern Ireland.

The clinics are for first doses of the coronavirus vaccine, and no appointment is necessary to avail of the service.

When issuing the full list of centres, the Department of Health says the vaccination centres and mobile walk-in clinics are only offering Pfizer or Moderna vaccines for first doses.

Participating pharmacies are offering Astra Zeneca first doses for people who are aged 40 or over.
