Covid NI: No further deaths and 511 coronavirus cases reported

The Department of Health has recorded no further coronavirus-related deaths.

Today's update also reports a further 511 positive cases of Covid-19.

According to figures released on Tuesday, 2,130,073 vaccines have been administered in total in Northern Ireland so far.

A full coronavirus update will be given by the Department of Health tomorrow, Wednesday July 14.

Meanwhile, a Belfast bar has won praise for their 'honest and responsible' statement, as they make the decision to temporarily close their premises after a staff member tested positive for Covid.

Horatio Todd's, in the Ballyhackamore area of East Belfast, shared a statement on their Facebook page on Monday night, where they told customers that, for their own wellbeing and that of their staff, they would be closing on Tuesday and Wednesday.

To alleviate customer concerns, Horatio Todd's said that they were getting every one of their staff members tested, and that if they didn't have a negative test, they wouldn't be coming back to work.

They shared that they would only be reopening on Thursday after a deep clean. They also said that the staff member who had tested positive hadn't been customer-facing and hadn't been near the premises on Monday, when the statement was made.

The bar also documented how they hadn't yet been contacted by the PHA for track and trace, but that this was all "very new" and that they'd be able to provide details if needed.
