Covid NI: No further Covid-19 related deaths reported by DoH

The Department of Health has reported no further coronavirus related deaths.

According to the latest update from the Department, the death toll in Northern Ireland remains at 2,115.

Wednesday's dashboard also reports a further 123 positive cases of Covid-19, bringing the total number of positive cases to 117,289 since the start of the pandemic.

Over the past seven days, the Department say 977 individuals have tested positive in Northern Ireland.

There are currently 118 Covid-19 confirmed patients in hospital and 17 in intensive care.

Meanwhile, Northern Ireland’s Covid-19 vaccination programme has been extended to the next age group.

People in the 45-49 age bracket can now book to have their jab at a vaccination centre or participating community pharmacy.

Those eligible for vaccination also have the option of waiting for their GP to contact them to arrange their jab.

The 45-49 age bracket is defined as everyone born between 01/04/1971 and 31/03/1976.
