Over the past seven days, the Department says 1,311 individuals have tested positive in Northern Ireland.

There are currently 183 Covid-19 confirmed patients in hospital and 23 in intensive care.

Meanwhile, the Deputy First Minister has warned the public to stick to the Covid-19 restrictions ahead of St Patrick's Day next week.

The Sinn Fein Vice-President was speaking at the daily press conference on Thursday.

It message comes after Queen's University issued a strong warning to students ahead of the public holiday on March 17.
