Coronavirus infection rates have surpassed 1,000 cases in all but one area across Nottinghamshire.
According to data compiled by the Government, 4,525 cases were reported in the seven days to December 23 in Nottingham alone, with a further 9,900 confirmed in the wider county.
Every borough and district, except Bassetlaw in the north, has recorded more than 1,000 cases.
Infection rates are therefore similarly high and above 1,000 cases per 100,000 people in all areas, bar Bassetlaw.
There are more than 100,000 new cases being registered each and every single day in the UK currently due to the new and more transmissible Omicron variant.
Evidence the new variant was spreading in Nottinghamshire was first confirmed on December 10.
