Covid hospitalisations in Pune Metropolitan Region drop to two

PUNE: Only two positive patients are admitted to the hospitals of the Pune Metropolitan Region (PMR).

The tally of the total active cases remained below 250 in PMR, including the two patients in hospitals and 205 in home isolation. No Covid-related death was recorded in the PMR on Sunday.

The progressive count of positive Covid patients in the PMR areas reached 14,54,525 with 29 new positive cases, while the count of discharged patients hit the 14,34,639 mark with 27 recoveries. The death toll remained unchanged at 19,679, the daily Covid-19 report issued by the district administration stated.

Only one new case was recorded in the cantonments. Another two cases were registered in the councils, while the rural areas saw four more positives. The PMC and PCMC areas had 13 and nine new infections, respectively.

Among recoveries, 12 patients were discharged in the PMC limits, while 13 recoveries were registered in the PCMC areas. One patient recovered each in the rural areas and the councils. No patient was discharged in the cantonments. TNN
