COVID hospitalisations in NT now 28 as Territory records 352 cases

There are 28 people in NT hospitals with COVID-19, the NT government says.

Only one COVID-19 patient is being treated in ICU.

Sixteen COVID-19 patients are classified as acute hospital admissions.

The NT recorded 352 cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night, down from 594 recorded in the previous reporting period.

Of these, 155 were positive cases from a rapid antigen test (RAT).

The number of active cases in the NT has now risen to about 2,700, the NT government said.

There were 2,470 PCR tests processed across the NT yesterday.

There are now a total of 24 cases from Yuendumu and all cases and identified close contacts are in isolation, the NT government said.

The lockout for Yuendumu and Yuelamu is set to remain in place until at least midday on Saturday.

Twenty-five residents were vaccinated in the region yesterday, the NT government said, after authorities yesterday lamented low vaccine uptake in Yuendumu.
