Coronavirus infection rates are continuing to rise in all ten boroughs of Greater Manchester. .
The infection rate in Salford remains the highest in the region.
The borough recorded a rate of 1,924.7 cases per 100,000 people in the week ending December 27, according to the latest data from the UK Health Security Agency.
The lowest infection rate is in Bolton, where the rate is 1,348.1 cases per 100,000 people.

In Greater Manchester as a whole, the infection rate is now 1,702.7 cases per 100,000 population. The infection rate in the region is higher than the national average, which is 1,313.3 cases per 100,000 people.
A total of 48,282 people tested positive for coronavirus across Greater Manchester in the week ending December 27.
The Greater Manchester weekly total has increased by 18,259 cases compared to the previous week, which means the infection rate was up 61 per cent in the last week.
The infection rate is higher than the national average in all ten boroughs.
Hospital admissions
In the week ending on December 26, a total of 414 patients were admitted to Greater Manchester NHS hospitals with Covid-19. That is 155 more than the week before, a rise of 60%.
On Tuesday December 28, there were 27 Mechanical Ventilation (MV) beds occupied by Covid patients in Greater Manchester NHS hospitals. That is seven fewer than a week earlier.

Deaths
In the week ending December 27, a total of 39 people died within 28 days of a positive Covid test across Greater Manchester, which is 10 fewer than the week before.

Salford
In Salford, there were 5,056 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending December 27, which is 1,634 more than the previous seven days.
The city continues to have the highest infection rate in the region. The rate in Salford is up slightly compared with the previous day and the week-on-week trend is up by 48 per cent.
Oldham
Oldham is an area where the trend is up. The latest infection rate here is 1,442.6 cases per 100,000 people.
There were 3,428 cases recorded in Oldham, which is 1,599 more than the previous week - a rise of 87 per cent.
The borough recorded a rate of 1,924.7 cases per 100,000 people in the week ending December 27.
Tameside
Tameside recorded 4,109 coronavirus cases, which is 2,057 more than in the previous seven days.
The latest infection rate in Tameside is 1,809.2 cases per 100,000 people and that is up 100 per cent week-on-week.
Bolton
Bolton, which has the lowest infection rate in the region, recorded 3,886 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending December 27, which is 1,685 more than the previous 7 days.
The coronavirus infection rate in Bolton is now 1,348.1 cases per 100,000 people and is up by 77 per cent week-on-week.
Wigan
Wigan saw a total of 5,488 cases in the week ending December 27, which is 2,963 more than the previous week. That is a rise of 117 per cent.
In Wigan, the most recent coronavirus infection rate is now 1,659.5 cases per 100,000 people.
Trafford
In Trafford, the latest infection rate is 1,817.5 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases has gone up by 32 per cent.
A total of 4,318 people tested positive for Covid in Trafford over the seven days ending on December 27, which is 1,053 more than the week before.
Rochdale
In Rochdale, the number of cases is up by 93 per cent compared to the previous week - leaving the infection rate at 1,482.6 cases per 100,000 population.
There were 3,316 positive Covid-19 tests in Rochdale in the week ending December 27, which was 1,601 more than the previous 7 days.
Manchester
The trend is up in Manchester, where there were 9,961 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending December 27, which is 2,484 more than the previous 7 days. That is up by 33 per cent compared to the previous week.
The latest infection rate in Manchester is 1,792.4 cases per 100,000 people, which is higher than the national average.
Stockport
There were 5,626 positive tests over the last week in Stockport, which is 2,172 more than in the previous week.
The week-on-week trend in Stockport is up by 63 per cent and the latest infection rate is 1,912.3 cases per 100,000 people.
Bury
There was a rise of 49 per cent in cases in Bury over the week ending December 27, and the infection rate is now 1,622.4 cases per 100,000 population.
Bury recorded 3,094 positive Covid-19 tests over the seven-day period, and that is 1,011 more than the previous week.
