Covid blues: No I-Day bash for kids on school campus in Bhopal

BHOPAL: This year, Independence Day celebrations will be organised in the schools in the absence of the students. Last year also students could not participate due to Covid pandemic lockdown.

DEO Bhopal Nitin Saxena said that celebrations will be organized in all schools. “State government has directed the schools to keep students away from ID celebration due to Covid pandemic. We have asked teachers to celebrate it on the campus but students will not be allowed to participate,” said DEO Saxena.

He has made it clear that instructions are the same for both private and government schools.

Even schools have issued instructions to their staff that celebration will be organized on the campus by following the Covid protocols.

“Schools will celebrate Independence Day on campus. Schools have been instructed that students must not participate in the function,” said vice-president, MP association of private un-aided private schools.

After classes 11 and 12, the school education department also allowed classes for 9 and 10 from August 5. Classes have been opened twice in a week. Coaching classes have also opened their academics.
