Big W Raymond Terrace is not a venue of concern, Hunter New England Health says.
The store had advised customers that a delivery driver who visited the store on Thursday, July 29 between 10.15am and 10.45am had tested positive to coronavirus.
A notification at the store said that anyone who was in the store during that time was a casual contact and they needed to get tested and isolate.
Port Stephens MP Kate Washington said she had received the same advice from shopping centre's management.
However on Saturday evening, Hunter New England Health said Big W Raymond Terrace was no longer a venue of concern.
Newcastle state MP Tim Crakanthorp said he had been advised by NSW Health that only some staff members were considered casual contacts and there was no risk to the community.
