COVID-19 Vaccine Ireland: The seven Dublin care homes where vaccines will be given this week

A total of 35,000 vaccines are set to be administered in Ireland by the end of this week.

Health officials have now confirmed a full list of care homes where the Pfizer-BioNTech jab will be given out in the coming days.

Nursing homes in Cavan, Galway, Mayo, Tipperary, Clare, Kerry, Kilkenny, Waterford, Tipperary, Dublin, Westmeath, Offaly, Louth and Meath will all see vaccine doses delivered and administered by Sunday.

The HSE has confirmed that vaccinator teams will make another visit to all of these locations three weeks later to provide the second jab.

A spokesman said: "Vaccinations will take place this week in 23 residential care facilities, as planned.

"By the end of this week we intend to have administered 35,000 vaccines. We will be holding some stock until our next delivery and then we plan to continue the process the following week.

"This will be done, aligned with further and ongoing deliveries of the vaccine, over a 6 week rolling programme throughout all 582 nursing homes, public and private, across the State.

"Our vaccinator teams will be giving vaccines at each of those locations, making 2 separate visits, 3 weeks apart."
