COVID-19 updates: Every state and territory's coronavirus numbers in one place

Here's a quick wrap of what's happening with COVID-19 figures across Australia today, Monday, March 21.

You can get a more detailed, visual breakdown through the ABC's Charting the Spread story right here.

This will be updated throughout the day as new figures are reported, so if you don't see your state or territory, check back later.

NSW

Another four people have died in New South Wales with COVID-19, while 1,163 people are in hospital with the virus.

One of the four deaths was a two-year-old, who died in a Sydney hospital.

NSW Health said the child was "previously well".

There are 34 people in ICUs and the state has recorded 14,970 new cases.

Victoria

Victoria has recorded no new COVID-related deaths and 7,531 new cases of the virus. 

It takes the total number of active infections to 51,520.

There are 248 COVID-19 patients in Victorian hospitals, up from 215 a day earlier.

Of those people, 20 are in ICUs and five are receiving ventilation.

Queensland

Two more people with COVID-19 have died in the state.

There were 6,206 new cases reported and there are 41,852 active cases across the state.

There are 243 people in hospital. Fourteen of those are in ICU.

Western Australia

There are 163 people with COVID-19 in hospital in WA, with four of those in ICU.

The state has reported 5,566 new COVID cases.

Of the new cases, 3,553 were reported from rapid antigen tests, while 2,013 were PCR tests.

ACT

The ACT recorded 898 new COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday.

There are 39 people in hospital with the virus in Canberra, including four patients in intensive care.

Of Canberra children aged five to 11, 79.7 per cent have received a vaccine dose and 71.7 per cent of Canberrans aged 16 and older have received their booster.

Tasmania

Tasmania is nearing 10,000 active cases of COVID, with 9,932 recorded in the last reporting period — the highest number since the start of the pandemic.

New daily cases dropped slightly to 1,304.

There are 24 people in hospital, with 10 being treated specifically for COVID-19 symptoms.

Two people are in intensive care and there have been no new deaths.

South Australia

No new deaths from COVID-19 have been reported in South Australia.

There are 150 people with COVID-19 in hospital, including nine in intensive care.

Another 3,121 COVID cases have been recorded, a slight decline from yesterday's numbers.

Northern Territory

There are 16 COVID-19 patients in hospitals in the NT. 

Three patients require oxygen but none are in ICU.

There were 172 new cases of COVID recorded in the NT in the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday.
