The Covid-19 infection rates in every part of the Liverpool City Region are below the national average figure.
According to the latest data from Public Health England , in England overall there were 16,828 cases in the last week, which is 11,076 fewer cases than the previous week.
This means that the week on week change in England overall dropped by 40%, and it also means that the average infection rate for the whole of England is 29.90 for the week ending April 5.
And every part of the Liverpool City Region has a Covid infection rate that is below the England average of 29.90.

Halton
In Halton, the rate per 100,000 people is 21.6. There were 28 cases in the last week, which is 28 fewer cases than the previous week. This means the week on week change dropped by 50%.
Liverpool
In Liverpool, the rate per 100,000 people is 19.5. There were 97 cases in the last week, which is 69 fewer cases than the previous week. This means the week on week change dropped by 42%.
St Helens
In St Helens, the rate per 100,000 people is 23.3. There were 42 cases in the last week, which is 25 fewer cases than the previous week. This means the week on week change dropped by 37%.
Wirral
