PUNE: The daily caseload of Covid positive patients went beyond 800 on Sunday in the Pune Metropolitan Region.
The progressive count of positive cases reached 11,66,067 with 850 fresh cases on Sunday.
The total count of discharged patients reached 11,43,040 as 314 patients recovered. Two deaths were reported in the region taking the death toll to 19,251, stated the daily Covid-19 report issued by the district administration.
The total active positive patients were below 4,000, which included 3,150 in home isolation and 658 in hospitals.
The Pune Municipal Corporation limits recorded 524 fresh cases, followed by 175 cases in the Pimpri Chinchwad civic limits. The rural areas recorded 107 new patients, followed by 29 and 15 patients in the council and cantonment limits, respectively.
The Pimpri Chinchwad civic limits recorded the highest recoveries with 171 discharges, followed by 79 cured patients in the PMC limits. The rural areas recorded 40 discharges, followed by 12 each in council and cantonment limits.
The PCMC limits, councils and cantonments did not register any new deaths due to Covid-19. The PMC limits and rural areas recorded one death each.
The state reported 11,877 cases and nine fatalities on Sunday.
