There have been more than 1,200 new Covid-19 infections in the past week according to the Department of Health.
The department's daily dashboard says there has been 273 new positive tests in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases to 10,223 since the coronavirus outbreak began.
There have been no further deaths in the past 24 hours, with the death toll remaining at 577.
The Belfast area has seen the largest increase in new cases, with 350 infections in the past week. There has been 556 positive tests in the city in the past 14 days.
The Derry City and Strabane area has seen the second highest number of new cases of Covid-19, with 242 in the past week and 324 in the past fortnight.
There has been 160 new infections in the Newry Mourne and Down area and 125 in Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon in the past week.
People aged 20 to 39 have seen the largest increase in new infections, with 502, and 139 of these being recorded in Belfast and 120 in Derry City and Strabane.
Those aged 40 to 59 have seen the second highest increase in infections with 306, followed by those aged 0 to 19 with 268.
There are currently 46 inpatients in hospital infected with the virus, five patients are in intensive care and five are using ventilators.
There have been 1,727 people admitted to hospital with the virus and 1,663 have been discharged.
The Department of Health says that there are currently 27 Covid-19 outbreaks in care and residential homes in Northern Ireland and 12 suspected ones.
To date, 330,615 individuals have been tested for the virus
