There have been 315 new positive Covid-19 tests in the past 24 hours according to the Department of Health.
The department's daily dashboard says there have been nine further deaths reported, with eight of these taking place in the past day and one outside of the recording period.
This brings the death toll in Northern Ireland from the virus to 983.
In the past 24 hours Derry City and Strabane had the most positive tests with 44, followed by Belfast with 41 and Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon with 36.
Belfast has had the highest number of infections in the past week with 368, followed by Mid Ulster with 283 and Derry City and Strabane with 273.
Those aged 40 to 59 have had the most positive tests over the last seven days, with 725, followed by those aged 20 to 39 with 654 and those aged 60 to 79 with 419.
2,429 people have tested positive for the virus this week.
There are currently 410 inpatients in hospital infected with the virus with 468 people being admitted to hospital with Covid-19 in the past 14 days. 571 patients have been discharged in the same period.
The Northern Trust has had the highest number of admissions with 138 over the past fortnight.
There are 33 patients in intensive care with Covid-19, with 29 of these using ventilators.
In Northern Irish hospitals there are 73 unoccupied beds, with hospitals running at 97 per cent capacity. 130 patients are waiting to be admitted to hospital.
In care and residential homes there are 142 confirmed Covid-19 outbreaks.
To date, 569,771 people have been tested for the virus and 51,824 have tested positive.
