There have been 89 new positive Covid-19 cases recorded in the past 48 hours, according to the Department of Health.
The department says that there have also been a further two coronavirus related deaths recorded, bringing the death toll in Northern Ireland to 2,118.
It comes as the Covid vaccination programme is ahead of schedule with the SSE Arena mass vaccination centre smashing its target of administering 10,000 doses last week.
A total of 1.4 million people across Northern Ireland are eligible for a coronavirus vaccine. As of Friday, 918,459 vaccines had been delivered - 765,005 of which were first jabs and 153,454, second.
Naomi Dunbar, the regional vaccine centre’s head of operations, said that it was hoped that 20,000 people would receive their vaccine this week. It is planned that by week four of the centre being open, 40,000 a week will receive their vaccine.
She said: "This first week has been extremely emotional because you realise in life nothing else matters but everyone’s health - that’s really what it boils down to.
"The overwhelming sense is pride and being able to in some way assist to get people’s lives back to normal.
"The feeling among the staff is real exhilaration, jubilation to get to this point - it’s been a great feeling.
"The staff just want to deliver this and be the best, they are calling this the South Eastern Trust at the SSE, and they are looking at the scoreboard every morning to see how we did yesterday.
"It’s a momentous occasion for us to come and do this and it’s leaving a legacy behind as well."
