Covid-19 Ireland: Latest 14-day incidence rates in Dublin show 11 areas above national average

For the first time this year, the 14-day incidence rate across the LEA's in Dublin has been updated.

Since the Omicron Wave saw case numbers in the tens of thousands per day, the 14-day incidence rate had not been kept up to date.

On December 30, 30 out of 31 Local Election Areas in Dublin had a higher incidence rate than the national average.

Now just 11 areas in Dublin have a higher rate than the national average.

As of March 13, the national average stands at 990.8 cases per 100,00 population. On December 30 it stood at 2,087.4 per 100,000.

The Dublin LEA with the highest 14-day incidence rate of Covid-19 is Glencullen Sandyford with 1,253.3 cases per 100,000.

As of March 14 another 4,263 positive swabs were reported out of 10,346 taken with a positivity rate of 41.2% ans a 7-day positivity rate of 36.3%.
