Covid-19 Ireland: Exact location of today's 866 new coronavirus cases as five counties see spike

Five counties were hit by a fresh spike in coronavirus cases in new statistics released this evening.

A total of 866 new Covid-19 infections were reported across the country over the last 24 hours, with six more deaths sadly confirmed.

The latest figures were announced by the Department of Health earlier.

And Dublin has once again recorded the highest number of new cases with 242, followed by Cork on 166.

Meanwhile 56 further infections have been reported in Donegal, 54 in Galway, 44 in Meath and the remaining 304 cases are spread across another 20 counties.
