The coronavirus has claimed one more life in the Republic of Ireland.
It comes as 17 new confirmed cases have been announced by the Department of Health.
There have now been a total of 1,754 Covid-19 related deaths in Ireland.
The total number of infections in the Republic has now risen to 25,819.
Dr Ronan Glynn, Acting Chief Medical Officer, Department of Health, has urged the public to follow the guidelines to protect the country's healthcare workers.

He said: “I appreciate how difficult it is for people to limit their social activities and to physically distance from friends and loved ones.
“These actions are vital to our collective effort to suppress this highly infectious disease as we work towards reopening our schools and our healthcare services, and to protect our healthcare workers who have been at the frontline of this pandemic over the past six months.”
Earlier on Wednesday, Northern Ireland reported no further deaths linked to the virus.
However, health officials there have recorded nine fresh confirmed cases of Covid-19.
