COVID-19 Ireland case updates as 562 infections reported

Health officials have reported a total of 562 cases of COVID-19 in Ireland.

A total of 48 people are currently hospitalised due to the virus, 14 of whom are in the ICU.

Over 4.3 million doses have been administered so far according to Health Minister Stephen Donnelly.

Starting tomorrow people aged 18 to 34 will be able to get the Janssen vaccine in participating pharmacies across Ireland.

Minister Donnelly also said that people aged 18 - 34 years who want to opt for the AstraZeneca vaccine will be able to register through the online portal from Monday week, July 12.
