A further 557 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed this evening.
Meanwhile sadly another 17 Covid-19 related deaths have been reported.
9 deaths occurred in March, 4 in February and 4 in January or earlier.
The figures were announced by The National Public Health Emergency Team this evening.
They come as a number of protests were staged around Dublin throughout the day in defiance of Level Five restrictions.

16 people were arrested as a result of the protests which saw a heavy Garda presence in place across the country.
Gardai, the Government and public health officials this week issued pleas to the public to continue to following Covid restrictions ahead of St Patrick's Day.
Around 500 people gathered around the bandstand in Herbert Park in Dublin to hear speeches against the current public health restrictions.
Few wore masks and several carried placards condemning the government and dismissing vaccines.
Protesters who had previously been at RTE studios joined the event in the late afternoon.
A number of people at the protest, who spoke to the Irish Mirror, had travelled well beyond the current 5km travel limit and boasted of ignoring the Government's public health guidance.
Dozens of Gardai at the event kept their distance and did not intervene.
Another anti-lockdown protest is planned for March 20.
