Covid-19 in North East schools: Take part in our survey and tell us what you think

Scores of schools across the North East have been affected due to coronavirus outbreaks.

Positive cases have been confirmed at nurseries, primaries, secondary schools and colleges right across the region, with many children and staff members diagnosed with Covid-19.

As a result, a number of schools have had to close temporarily and carry out deep cleans of their sites.

Others were able to continue running after asking affected year groups or bubbles to self-isolate and continue their learning at home.

All schools say they are following Government guidelines and have been working alongside public health teams.

They are following strict procedures when a positive case is confirmed and identifying all those who come into close contact with those affected.

But the reopening of schools has caused widespread concern and we want to know what your views are on the matter.

Should schools not have reopened? Do you think classes should continue as long as Covid-safe measures are in place or is it time to close schools now?

What do you think of the Covid-19 outbreaks in schools? Let us know by taking our short survey
