PANAJI: The state’s active caseload of Covid-19 infections stood at 19 with three cases and two recoveries reported on Saturday. The case positivity rate increased slightly above 1%, which was 0.5% on Friday.
The number of tests conducted during the day were fewer than a day earlier. On Friday, 567 tests were conducted and the number reduced to 297 on Saturday.
The tests conducted on weekends are normally less as compared to the weekdays due to closure of health centres as well as private laboratories.
Meanwhile, continuing its vaccination programme, till Friday, the directorate of health services had vaccinated 59% children in the age group of 12-14 years with the first dose.
