Queensland's Health Minister Yvette D'Ath says authorities are assuming there has been COVID-19 transmission occurring across the Gold Coast, with six people having been infectious in the community for a number of days this week.

Families at the Broadbeach State School were alerted this morning and have been asked to get tested and isolate.

Queensland Health has confirmed new exposure sites for Mermaid Beach, Mermaid Waters, Broadbeach, Miami, Elanora, Currumbin Waters and Tugun.

As always, ensure you check the health advice in the table below (click "More" if you are on a mobile device) for what to do if you have visited any of the sites rated as close contact, casual contact or low-risk contact.

The Queensland Health contact tracing sites list is regularly updated as new information comes to hand.
