Egypt’s Health Ministry has warned against a spike in coronavirus deaths and daily cases in the country.

The ministry recorded 907 COVID-19 cases and 53 deaths on Wednesday, raising the infection toll to 327,286, including 276,358 recoveries and 18,428 deaths so far.

The Ministry said the necessary preventive measures are being taken in all Egyptian areas to prevent the spread of the virus or any other diseases.

It called on the people to register for an appointment for the vaccine at the ministry's vaccination site, asserting that the Egyptian state saves no effort in providing COVID-19 jabs for free.

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, for his part, affirmed that university hospitals have provided great support for the ministry’s hospitals to confront the pandemic.

Egypt aims at vaccinating 40 million individuals by the end of 2021.

Health authorities emphasized the efficacy and safety of all vaccine brands. They have been approved by the relevant authorities.
