BHOPAL: There are less than 50 active Covid cases in Madhya Pradesh, but the cases are increasing in three of the five states sharing their border with the state. It has become a cause of concern for MP as the infection spreads at a high speed and Covid SOPs are being not adhered to across the state.
Uttar Pradesh where a maximum increase in active cases of 108 was reported in the past 24 hours taking the tally to a high 798, shares borders with 13 districts of MP — Morena, Bhind, Datia, Shivpuri, Ashoknagar, Sagar, Tikamgarh, Niwari, Chhatarpur, Panna, Satna, Rewa, and Singrauli.
Rajasthan which reported an increase in active cases by eight in past 24 hours to 108, shares its borders with 10 districts of MP — Morena, Shivpuri, Guna, Sheopur, Rajgarh, Agar Malwa, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Ratlam and Jhabua.
Maharashtra, where the number of active cases increased by 26 in past 24 hours to 660, shares it’s borders with nine districts of MP — Alirajpur, Barwani, Khargone, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Betul, Chhindwara, Seoni and Balaghat.
However, Chhattisgarh which shares border with seven MP districts and Gujarat which shares a border with two MP districts, reported a decline in the number of active cases.
