MUMBAI: Covid-19 cases rose slightly in Maharashtra and Mumbai on Friday though the daily toll remained six for the second consecutive day. The state's daily tally has been below 2,500 for few days, but it rose to 2,515 as against 2,289 on Thursday.
The active cases in the state increased from 14,519 to 14,579 on Friday, but the downward trend in the city continued. Only 20 patients got admitted in Mumbai with Covid as against five times the number a month back. "Covid is under control right now," said a senior BMC doctor. Less than 1% of the 24,725 Covid beds in the city are occupied at the moment.
