
Victoria has gone above 20,000 coronavirus cases with 45 new cases confirmed overnight along with five deaths related to the virus.
The daily number brings Victoria's total number of cases to 20,015 with a total of 750 deaths related to COVID-19.

The rolling 14-day average for new cases across regional Victoria is now at 2.3. There have been no mystery cases in regional Victoria for the last 14 days.
Yesterday, there were 947 active cases of the virus across the state with 33 in regional local government areas.
Central Victoria remained steady with no new cases and one active case for each of Greater Bendigo and the Macedon Ranges Shire.
There are no active cases in the Mount Alexander, Central Goldfields, Campaspe, Loddon or Buloke shires.
Education minister James Merlino announced yesterday that regional Victorian primary school students would return to school on October 5.

Years 11 and 12 students will also return the same week - the first week of term four - for assessments and the General Achievement Test.
The remainder of secondary school students will return on October 12.
