ACT Health says anyone who has been at Wanniassa School's Junior Campus since last Monday needs to get tested and quarantine. This includes students, staff and visitors.
A spokesperson previously confirmed that an individual was unknowingly infectious with COVID-19 while at the school campus on Wednesday, October 27, Thursday, October 28 and Friday, October 29.
Now more cases have been linked to the Wanniassa School outbreak, ACT Health said on Tuesday night.
"ACT Health has asked that all students, staff and visitors who have been on the school's junior campus since last Monday to get tested and quarantine until they receive a negative result as we investigate this cluster further," a spokesperson said.
Wanniassa School junior campus was open on Tuesday, November 2, but closed on Monday, November 1.
The latest closure follows Ainslie School, Queanbeyan West Public School and Queanbeyan South Public School being forced to close on Friday due to confirmed COVID-19 cases in their school communities.
On Monday, all three campuses were open again, with only those staff and students deemed close contacts needing to isolate and be tested.
Monday saw all students in Canberra allowed to return to face-to-face teaching after a long period of remote learning.
It was also the day school and early learning staff who deal with unvaccinated children under 12-years-old were required to have at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine under a health direction signed by the chief health officer.
Last week, Education Minister Yvette Berry said she would be surprised if there weren't any COVID-19 cases detected in schools for the remainder of term 4.
Schools have implemented strategies to reduce the impact of potential COVID exposure, including improving ventilation and keeping cohorts of students separate.
