AHMEDABAD: After a long time, the city recorded a higher number of new Covid cases (18) than the number of patients discharged (14). The city had recorded eight cases on Tuesday. At present, there are 61 active cases in the city. The state on Thursday reported 26 new cases with 30 patients discharged. The city accounted for 69% of the new cases in the state.
Across Gujarat, cities accounted for 22 of the 26 new cases, or 85%. Gujarat did not record any death in these 24 hours. The state now has zero active cases in 18 of its 33 districts. Two patients in the state on ventilators, according to state health department data.
