Coventry City boss Mark Robins makes Tayo Adaramola claim after Crystal Palace transfer decision

Coventry City manager Mark Robins says Crystal Palace's Tayo Adaramola will add an "exciting dynamic" to his squad after completing a loan move.

The 18-year-old left wing-back has joined the Championship side on a season-long loan deal, with Adaramola looking to get further first team experience after making his senior debut for Palace last season. His first team bow for the Eagles came as a substitute in February in an FA Cup win over Hartlepool United, before his first start in the same competition against Stoke City.

Adaramola has recently been away with the Palace first-team in Singapore and Australia as Patrick Vieira's Eagles have continued their preparations for the new season, but he is now on the move after completing a loan switch to join the Sky Blues.

And the teenager, who joined Palace in 2015 and has been capped for the Republic of Ireland at Under 17, Under 19 and Under 21 level, has been backed to make an impact at Coventry by Sky Blues manager Mark Robins.

Speaking to the club website, he said: “We are delighted to welcome Tayo [Adaramola] to the club. He is a player that is full of energy, gets up and down the left side and will add another exciting dynamic to the squad.

“He’s excited to be part of the squad for the season ahead and continuing his development with us. We’re looking forward to working with him, and I’d like to thank Crystal Palace for their co-operation in getting this transfer done.”

Adaramola could make his debut for Coventry in their opening game of the new Championship season against Sunderland on Sunday, with the EFL campaign getting underway this weekend ahead of the start of the Premier League season a week later.
