Coventry City boss Mark Robins 'continuing to pursue his interest' in Nottingham Forest striker

Nottingham Forest striker Tyler Walker remains a top transfer target for Coventry City.

According to CoventryLive , Sky Blues boss Mark Robins is an admirer of Walker, son of Forest legend Des, and is 'continuing to pursue his interest" in the former Mansfield Town loanee.

Former Red Ross McCormack was linked with a move to Coventry, but it is understood there is no interest in the ex-Aston Villa striker and Walker is a priority.

Robins wants to land the 22-year-old on a season's loan , with Coventry's interest in Walker first reported earlier this month.

And Barnsley's signing of star striker Conor Chaplin could prompt Robins to make a move for Walker, who notched 22 goals in League Two on loan at Mansfield Town last season.

Walker has also spent time on loan at Bolton Wanderers, Port Vale, Stevenage and Burton Albion.

He has made 38 appearances for Forest, scoring six times.
