'Coutinho's little brother' - Liverpool fans react to Otavio transfer report

Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react to rumours - via Portuguese outlet A Bola - that suggest Liverpool are in 'advanced talks' with FC Porto over a deal to sign their 26-year-old winger Otavio.

There has been speculation Liverpool could be in the market for another forward option this summer, given that Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane will be absent in the early stages of 2022 due to their commitments at the African Cup of Nations.

With the reports emerging on Monday morning, fans have taken to Twitter to voice their opinions on the potential signing of the Brazilian wide-man.

Otavio scored 5 goals and assisted a further 12 in all competitions for Porto last season. He is yet to be capped by Brazil.

There seems to be a mixed reaction on social media to the rumours. There seems to be those who would prefer Liverpool to splash the cash on a proven Premier League star-like Youri Tielemans at Leicester City.

However, given how Liverpool operate, in a very sell-to-buy manner, it seems unlikely that Liverpool would be able to match the fee Leicester would demand their star player.

Given the reputation Michael Edwards has built himself in the transfer market over previous years, unearthing hidden gems for a relatively cost, fans seem willing to trust his judgement on signings regardless of if they're a household name or not.
