Cousins and Diggs absolutely shred Eagles in win

Talk about a statement.

The Vikings crushed the Eagles on Sunday afternoon, moving to 4-2 with a 38-20 win at U.S. Bank Stadium.

The story of the game was the connection beteween Kirk Cousins and maybe one-time disgrunteled wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

It’s probably safe to say he’s no longer disgruntled. At least for this week.

Cousins threw for 333 yards and four touchdowns, connecting with Diggs sevent times for 167 yards and three touchdowns.

Minnesota’s defense was spectacular for the most part. The Vikings forced three turnovers, and besides a chunk in the middle of the game, Carson Wentz never looked particularly comfortable.

Midway through the third quarter, the Eagles narrowed the Vikings lead to 24-20, but the Vikings bounced back like you’d want a playoff-contending team to do.

With the win, the Vikings put themselves in a great position in the NFC. At the time of publication, the Vikings are currently in sixth in the NFC and second in the NFC North.

The Vikings travel to play the Lions in Detroit in Week 7. The Lions play the Packers on Monday Night Football.
