Courtney Simpson: Police race to find missing teen who may have fled to Manchester

Police across West Lothian have launched an urgent appeal to find a missing teenager.

Officers in and around Livingston are looking for information after a 14-year-old girl was reported missing from the area last night.

Courtney Leigh Simpson is reported to have last been seen at around 10.45am on Thursday (March 4), in the Granby Avenue area of Livingston.

However, from this point she has not been seen or heard from.

Police have described Courtney as being around 5ft 5in in height, of slim build with long brown hair.

When she was last seen, she was wearing a long white puffa coat with a fur hood, as well as black trousers and a pair of black ankle boots.

Anyone with information regarding Courtney's whereabouts has been asked to contact the police urgently on 101.

Sergeant Graeme Johnston, of Lothian and Borders Police Division, said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have seen Courtney or anyone with any information on her whereabouts to get in touch.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 0710 of 4 March.
