The England players may have to start referring to Courtney Lawes as 'Superman' from now on after the Northampton Saint flew to the team's rescue against Tonga on Saturday.
Having featured prominently for the British and Irish Lions in South Africa, Lawes played a leading role returning to duty for his country in a 69-3 hammering of the Sea Eagles at Twickenham.
The 32-year-old had a number of highlight reel-worthy moments in the first half, which included some impressive vision to help set up a Maro Itoje try.
But arguably his biggest contribution came during the closing phases of the first half when he hared back to prevent Tonga's Telusa Veainu from scoring following an impressive interception.
The former Leicester Tigers full-back picked off an England sequence inside his own half and forced the Red Rose to screech into reverse in an attempt to hold the score at 24-3.
Veainu, 30, did terrifically to sidestep incumbent Tigers full-back Freddie Steward, who appeared to be the last man in defence.
Or so he thought, as 6'7" Lawes had somehow made up the ground to get back and stop the score himself, denying what appeared to be a certain score for the underdogs in the far-right corner.

His technique was flawless, too, even encouraging Veainu to knock the ball on for an England scrum in the corner, much to the displeasure of the spectating Tongans.
The hit understandably left fans in awe, with one remarking on Twitter : "That is possibly the best covering tackle I have ever seen. Astonishing."
Another supporter remarked that it was "typically big heart shown by the skipper" after Lawes was promoted to the more senior role after Owen Farrell was ruled out due to Covid-19.
Lawes was picked by Jones as one of three vice-captains to aid Farrell in the leadership, with fellow forwards Ellis Genge—who captains Leicester Tigers—and Tom Curry also sharing those duties.
It's plain to see why the coach felt comfortable putting his faith in the Saint, who looks certain to be a key contributor in the upcoming Tests against Australia (November 13) and South Africa (November 20).
Marcus Smith was also among Saturday's top performers despite only playing the final half-hour, coming on as a replacement for makeshift fly-half George Furbank, who started in Farrell's absence.
Jamie George, Jonny May and Ben Youngs also did their selection chances no harm by scoring a brace of tries apiece, while Itoje, Adam Radwan, Jamie Blamire and Alex Mitchell completed the rout.
