Courtland Sutton passing on knowledge from Emmanuel Sanders to Jerry Jeudy, KJ Hamler

Even though he’s no longer part of the team, Emmanuel Sanders continues to have an impact in the Broncos’ wide receiver room.

Denver receiver Courtland Sutton is passing on knowledge he received from Sanders to rookies Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler. During his Zoom conference call on Aug. 6, Sutton said he’s been talking to Jeudy and Hamler about managing their time and understanding that they’re professionals first.

“Emmanuel was somebody who instilled that into my head as a rookie,” Sutton said. “We’re professionals first, so preparing yourself for the game that week is the biggest thing that you can get ready for.

“That’s one of the most important things that you can do because you’re ultimately helping not only yourself but you’re helping the team because you understand your job.”

Sanders has also directly helped mentor Jeudy and ran routes with him earlier this offseason. The Super Bowl 50 champ was a fan favorite for a reason.
